Marie Eriel Hobro was born in Maryland and raised on the Wahiawa/Mililani side of O'ahu. She received her education from Brooks Institute and attended the Eddie Adams XXIX Workshop in 2016. Her love for photojournalism began when her and Caesar started taking the photography class offered at Leilehua High School. She's dreamed of creating a documentary collective like this for years and is incredibly excited to see it come to fruition. Her work primarily focuses on dismantling the stereotypical narratives associated with Hawaiʻi. She is also passionate about telling eccentric, colorful stories that celebrate individuality and stories about identity, people of color, strong women, and drag queen culture.
